Champagne plus Gray:
Tucker, a gray Champagne stud (later gelded). We see some odd things when
gray
combines with champagne. First, the foal coat is usually even darker than
usual. Then, the skin freckling tends to be much darker (see skin
pictures, below.)
Third, and most remarkable, is the exaggerated "flea-bitten"
effect that sometimes occurs. The specks of color appear earlier in champagnes, and are
much more numerous, often making the horse look "colored", and
not gray, from a slight distance.
