Champagne plus Silver

Silver causes black manes & tails to lighten to a silvery flaxen or pewter color, and lightens the body colors of bay, brown & black horses a little.  When combined with black-based Champagne colors, it lightens the manes, tails and bodies more than the champagne gene alone.  It can be seen in these examples from ICHR's online stud book (registry). (Silver has no effect on chestnut or gold champagne horses.)
