Ear barring (halfway down the length of these ears they have a wide,
dark "bar") and white tips typical of many dun horses' ears. This is
Max,
own son of Carolyn Shepard's APHA homozygous tobiano champagne stallion,
California Champagne.

Notice that halfway down the length of these ears they have a wide,

Typical dun "white tips" on ears of the mare Sunnitas Rose
(Rose), owned by Ivan (Dick) & Mary ("Annita") Blake, ApHC,

Wolf Run Ranch.

This picture is not clickable. This is the first red dun I have
seen with the white ear tips. These belong to Levi, head stallion of Ivan (Dick) & Mary ("Annita") Blake's
ApHC,
AQHA, & NFQHA Performance Horses, Wolf Run Ranch.

This picture is not clickable, either. He's a dunalino stallion
belonging to Donna & Jeff Mixon
of VooDoo Farm in Florida.
It shows that ear barring, however light, can be visible on a dunalino
(palomino dun, or chestnut + 1 cream gene + dun).

This picture was taken by the webmaster at the Kentucky
Horse Park during Breyerfest 2010. This ear belongs to a
