Introduction
My mother tells me that I was born asking for a horse.
Before November of 1990, I thought I had given
up any chance of having one,
for the ministry of the Gospel.
But then, that month, I bought my first
horse, for only $550.
The horse was a 10 1/2 year old chestnut Arabian
gelding (see Amir Halam).
And ever since, he has been a source of delight
to me, my family and countless other children and adults!
About 7 years later my husband bought the Quarter
Horse gelding whose "white" color would cause me to become "an expert"
on horse colors and their genetics.
(see Docs Dewin Time)
Soon he had the chance to "rescue" the old Quarter
Horse gelding
he had been riding for the previous 8 years. (see Billies
Bay Spirit)
After I helped start a
registry for champagne colored
horses,
a champagne Quarter Horse filly I wanted was offered to me for a very
good price, just in time for my 50th birthday.
(see Sugar Champagne Lace)
And then there were four.
