Amir's Brother!

"That we should exist to the praise of His glory..."    Ephesians 1:12

Seanba-Khan  ("Shamba")

We are so delighted that Amir has a half-brother still living -- two years older!

This picture of him may be from his 30th birthday party, March 24, 2008.  He turned 31 in March of 2009.

Shamba (Seanba- Khan)'s owner writes:.

I had a 4-h instructor many years ago that traced his lineage all the way back to desert bred Arabians. I would be happy to share that with you. One thing I had noticed, on the top side pedigree, is his great grandfather, the papers that this lady did for me showed that the sire of Amurath Sharakhan was Dalih Ox, registration #021257. (Barb inserts: the allbreedpedigree.com web site has his name as simply Dalih, for some reason, and won't let me edit it.)  She even included that he was bred by Wurttemburg Landgestut in Marbach, Germany.  He was imported by Martin Loeber from Palatine, Illinois. Amurath Sharakhan was bred by Paul and Sandra Loeber from Palatine, Ill. - his son perhaps? Lo-Khan was bred by Thomas and Glenna Von Luhrte in Dayton, Ohio.

On Lo-Khan's dam side she had written that Lo-Etta #033703 was bred by Joseph Kemp from Mountain Home Utah on 7-15-1965.  Shamba's mother - BeyJohs Debutante IAHA# 1A 73799 was by Beyjoh Rudan #023429 (He was a gray stallion born 6/16/1962 bred by Virgina Durham in Detroit MI) and out of a QH type mare named Julie.

I have actually started riding him a bit again as he seems to be doing so well right now. I think he is even having fun!
