Looking for "the horse of my
dreams".
Or, I should say, "the mare of my
vision".
I'm a Spirit-filled Christian, the wife of a minister, and I am also ordained. I've seen a lot of supernatural things happen. So I didn't want to brush
this off without thoroughly investigating it.
OK, here's the (rather strange) situation:
The summer of 1999, while praying about 2 horses we were contemplating buying,
mostly for my husband, I had a dream or vision (perhaps I fell asleep
momentarily) of a horse I KNEW was a dark bay TB mare named Tara or Terra (I heard the word, assumed it
was her name) with a slight star. I saw her from the front, and both forelegs
were raised unevenly so I'm not sure what she was doing, but there was white on
her brow band so maybe it was dressage. Her forelegs were sturdy-looking. The star was, to the best of my memory,
slightly to the left of the center of her forehead, and almost crescent shaped, as though the right side and
center of a regular star were missing. A voice inside me said, "This
is the right horse for you." I came to, shocked. We were considering
two really heavy, old, Palomino QH geldings!
Quite a difference!
My husband since bought himself a young Palomino QH
gelding. AND he also bought the old guy
(QH) he had been riding for the past 7 or so years.
I have a wonderful, chunky little Arab gelding
I've ridden for the past 9 years.
But, if the horse I saw is out there, I want her. It's true, she would be the
perfect horse for me. I want to do a bit of dressage, a bit of novice hunter
showing, trail ride and breed. Also, I am very good with hot or sensitive
horses.
My problem is, I don't know (100%) whether it was from God or just one of those
weird alpha-state "dreams." Then, I don't know whether to push for an
EXACT match or a TYPE. But, if I did find an exact match,
I'd do everything in my power to get her.
I'd know this horse if I saw her.
Do you know of a horse or a person (who owns horses) named Tara or Terra?
I've already had a few people suggest it was actually a message about the Earth.
<grin> But I think the words "THIS is the right horse for YOU"
mitigate against that. Also, I'm a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian, and so
am not into Earth worship. <grin> Though I do believe the Earth is a mother ...<very
big smile>
