The earlier photos and thumbnails on this site were put up when dial-up connections and lower monitor
resolutions made them more practical.  So, they look unusually small on today's systems. (Sorry about that.)

(Sorry, this web site was originally created in the 90's, when
limited bandwidth, slow modems, and lower monitor resolution made
these smaller thumbnails and their smaller corresponding
 "full-size" pictures more practical.)

March2000-1.jpg (113555 bytes) Amir Halam, the 20 year old Arab, is on the left here, with 23 year old AQHA  Billies Bay Spirit (Bailey) in the background, at their "new home".  Though both are wearing their winter woolies, and a bit of extra fat for those cold nights, Amir still looks awfully chunky for the purebred Arabian he is.  Bailey is a few inches taller than Amir. (Bailey later went back to his original name, "Bill".) March2000-3.jpg (134387 bytes) This is an "artistic" picture of Bailey enjoying his new "room with a view".
March2000-2.jpg (89810 bytes) A close-up of Bill "Bailey" - foundation Quarter Horse - mahogany bay with pangare coloring (light nose, belly and "armpits"). March2000-4.jpg (140109 bytes) Pastor Joe joins Bailey for a pensive "guy" kind of moment.  Also a VERY large picture.
March2000-5.jpg (99894 bytes) Here is Joe  hugging Amir after a brief ride while Doc (Docs Dewin Time, 2 1/2 year old QH), in the pasture at right, wonders why HE isn't out "on the trail" with the "big boys". March2000-6.jpg (85110 bytes) This would be a good picture to send to the PHBA if they want to see that Doc has no leg barring.
Here's Doc in HIS "fuzzies" annoying Bailey. Trying for a nice "butt shot", I clicked too soon.
leg.jpg (55464 bytes) This picture shows Bailey's upper facial mask and false leg barring typical of countershading/ sooty/smutty, coloring.  The leg barring vanished; it was temporary, due to shedding. enlarged_leg.jpg (34733 bytes) This is a close-up of the leg barring in the picture at left.

In March of 2000, filling and carrying buckets of water used to be a regular chore, summer or winter, at the farm where we board our 3 horses.  Now we use a hose, and much larger, heated buckets.

Most of the pictures below are from my brother's
family's visit in March 2000.
